What?

The official date of Oppo Rally Midwest: 2019 A Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Queen Ci ty shall be The Twelfth of October, Two-Thousand and Nineteen AD. Mark your calendars, empty you colanders, and prepare your cylinders for what shall be a once in a lifetime event of limited preparations and massive frustrations.

And just where is this taking place?

Cincinnati. Well, mostly. Kinda in and around the G reater Cincy Tristate a rea.

What is this ?

This is basically a fucked up scavenger hunt that is picture based. I give clues, you give answers via The Gram. You drive from point to point and points are pointed when pictures are posted.

You’re not very helpful, but consider me interested. How do I join?

Draft an electronic letter to mischenkom2 (at) gmail (dot) com with the subject of Oppo Ra lly 2019. The body shall be:

(Name of participant (ie YOU)) would like to participate in this here rally. My car is (Y/M/M). My team consists of (names of cohorts).

It’s that simple. Once I get more than 10 teams (teams can be a party of 1 to 4) or 9/27 hits (whatever comes first) , I shall send out a group notification containing further details of start location, time, and whatever else I damn well please to say (hopefully it’s my manifesto!).

I know it’s more joking but not sure what part of Cincinnati hes talking about but there are areas where id rather take the bus than be on two wheels. Especially if it’s under powered. The hills and the roads going up and down them can be no joke.

There is a reason bird scooters haven’t really reached cinci. There ain’t no way they are making up those hills

Might not be but when I went to UC there were a number of off camber up hill traffic lights. And about the same down hill.

I hope we stay away from certain areas that are like that but Cinci is unlike the other ohio big cities, it’s not flat.

I believe there is a RallyCross event in Greenfield, Ohio that weekend. Little over an hour from Cinci. If true, I’ll probably head there. Perhaps afterwards I can catch up with the rest of ya?

Whats the time frame for the event? Is it one day and what times. I’m about 30 minutes south of Detroit and can’t really afford a hotel room so it would have to be done in a day.
